Riding to the sun of minight

They came, they are all there. The hard-line, the tattooed, the most crazy, nothing misses. On Harley indeed, on old cast irons : flat, pan, nuckle or shovel but also evo, twin-cam and the other v-rod, the proof than Super Rally is indeed a friendly and not sectarian gathering (I know, it was easy!).

For this edition, it is the direction of the North of Europe which the participants took these May 28 - 31st. Place of meeting : Ljungbyhed in Sweden.

For me, it is with pleasure that I return to the country of the midnight sun where the warmheartedness, reception and respect for the other one is not a vain formula and this new stay in Sweden has still confirmed it to me.

There are traditions which don't get lost and that's fine.

I throw an absent-minded eye and amused to the South European running up in search of fair-haided, blue eyes, reminding me my first stay in Sweden, which had no other purposes (super lying ?) that to see the sun of midnight and to go up to the North Cape in Norway, the nearby Scandinavian country.

Here no competition of beauty.

Only the passion and the kilometres on the speedometer are there to testify of it. Because every year, some do not hesitate to do a long ride to find their friends only for few hours.

The organizers of this weekend had foreseen everything : the sun (a little !), attractive girls (a lot), (very) festive program and the (numerous) animations punctuated these 5 days…

Without forgetting the improvised burns, the free contest of the best beer drinker, some rides in this magnificent region : Malmö, Lund, Ystad, Copenhagen in Denmark (why not ?).

Bands gave rhythm at the evenings and the temperature rised with the devastating wet t-shirt contest... 

The final striptease has especially contributed to light the shaken nights…

To finish, I have to stop the rumour which says that all the Swedish girls are pretty... and indeed not! Some of them are very... very... beautiful.

This year, absentees really were wrong!

And then, on the way back we didn't even ask if next year we'd go to Italy... It was an evidence, we'll be there as in Norway in 2006.
